IWA Puerto Rico Impacto Total 4/15/2023

The big show is tonight and I have no idea what footage they have left to air here. We get a tribute video on Victor the Bodyguard, as Jucio Final is in remembrance of him.

Ultimate X Match - Azazel vs "El Atletica" Manu vs Hijo del Enigma vs "El Fugitivo" Niche

The bizarre finish

The X is very high up here and these people are nuts for taking part in this death trap. The X is so high up that the camera can't even capture it without moving.

I'm fairly sure this is old footage. Enigma is german'd by Manu then Az is lariated by him. Niche is thrown out then Manu cannonballs him from the apron. Enigma hits kicks and an enzugiri then bulldogs out of a black hole slam from Niche. Enima then topes Niche.

Azazel and Enigma climb the post then Enigma dives on Manu and Niche. Az climbs the 20 foot high pole and dives on everyone in a crazy spot. Enigma and Az fight on the pole then Manu powerbombs both as they hold onto it. Niche climbs the pole and hurricanrana's Manu off the top rope from it.

Az and Niche climb up. Az hangs and Niche jumps on the chord. Manu throws a chair and Niche's back and he takes the long fall down. Enigma dropkicks a chair into Manu then hits him with it. Enigma top rope splashes a chair onto Manu. Az chairs Enigma then michinoku drivers him on a chair. Niche climbs the pole and is stopped by Az. Niche then does a gutbuster onto double knees off the top onto him.

Niche hangs from the chords then Manu pulls him down into a mega powerbomb. Wizard thinks its hilarious on commentary. Niche throws Az at Manu then Az and Niche both hang from the chords. They sit in the middle on top of the title and fight. They then stand and kneel on it and Az has the title, so he should be the winner. Both then fall down and Niche takes a real dangerous looking back bump.

Manu then gets a kendo stick and nails Az. He then germans him and pretends to catch the title. A ref then comes in and gives him the win.

This was stupid and dangerous. I have no idea how Manu won this one or how the refs didn't see what happened. It made no sense whatsoever. Niche is absolutely insane for the bumps he tried here and two incredibly dangerous bumps.

John Hawking does a promo. He said Jucio Final brings back good and bad memories. He said he won the title at this event last year. He said Mike Mendoza has come to the IWA and he's excited for it. He said this is what the IWA fans wanted and will be a great match and maybe the match of the year. John says he's not letting go of the title and says he will see him tonight.

Mike Mendoza then does a promo. He said he's anxious and will be crowned the new champ tonight.

Mr. Big does a promo. He said you don't have to be a prophet to know everyone is judged tonight. He said he is judging Apolo tonight. He said both men have gone to the bottom of the abyss to fight each other and said he's hungry, while Apolo is not.  Big says it's not for a title, it's out of anger tonight. Big tells him to come prepared because he is taking him six feet undreground. 

Apolo does a promo. Apolo said Big has showed him that he is a chicken and coward. He said they are tied to each other tonight. He said he won't take him to the bottom of the abyss, his plan is to end him once and for all.  He said he is the true king of kings and the best champion that IWA has had. He said he is the best heavyweight in PR and said he will give him the beating of his life.

Manny Ferno vs El Bronco #1

The announcers said this was called Macho vs Macho. Bronco's a legend from the 80's and is in good shape here.

Bronco is jumped as he enters the ring and Tonos holds onto his leg. Ferno hits punches then chokes him. Ferno grabs the mic then Bronco takes it from him as they say stuff. Bronco hits punches then does a nice standing dropkick to the chest. Bronco bangs Ferno's head off a chair outside then hits more punches. Bronco hits him with a kendo stick several times.

Ferno rams Bronco's back into the apron then hits him with a chair. Ferno lariats him then has his head banged off the buckles. Ferno kicks and punches him then Bronco fights back with punches. Bronco kicks him in the gut then ddt's him. Bronco then kicks and slaps the ref.

Tonos gets in and holds Bronco. Bronco nails him then Ferno and Bronco trade shots. They get down on the mat and brawl then continue it on their knees. A ref is thrown out by Manny as the battle continues. Various wrestlers come in to try and stop this and separate them and a ref calls this one off.

The two continue to fight and are broken up again. Ferno goes for him again and is pulled off. They go at it again and more people come out to try and stop this.

Bronco is in his 60's and looked great here. The brawling was fun with some nice punches being thrown and them really wanting at each other. I don't even mind the non-finish, because it makes sense for this.

Roxy

 

Nathaly Perez

Crystal

Roxy does a promo. She said it's more than 10 years since she debuted and she hasn't been able to achieve her dream of winning the title. Nathaly Perez says something in a quick bit. Crystal says this is like a flashback and now everyone knows who she is and what she's capable of. Nathalay says we may think she is immature and spoiled and she can't carry the title.  Crystal then confirms that. Roxy says she knows behind Nathaly's famous last name, there is someone training hard. Rox said she knows Crystal trains hard. Nathaly says wrestlers have gone through IWA and done great things. Roxy says a champ will be crowned tonight. Crystal says there's a tsunami warning for her winning the women'ts title. Nathaly says she will win the title for Gensis, who had to vacate. Roxy then says she will win. This was fast paced and very hard to follow.

Wizard Analaiza

Wizard is with Romeo. He says there will be a war tonight and says he doesn't know how Invader became the special ref here tonight. Romeo says tonight is a death fight and says Vega will be looking for the cemetary after getting involved with him. Wizard says Vega and Invader's lives are in danger tonight and says they will be hurt badly.

Invader #1 does a promo. Invader says Savio has butterflies in stomach. Invader says many things will happen tonight.

La Gran Amenaza (The Great Threat) who may be Pedro Portillo III does a promo. He said Manny supposedly carries wrestling on his back and he has bigger load to carry tonight. Gran says he does not represent IWA, so he won't take the mask off. He starts talking about some event and they censor what he says with a big "CENSORED" logo. He then says he is the best wrestler to end the promo. This was unusual.

They then do a montage of promo clips for tonight's matches. A bunch of people get a line in like Savio, Mike Mendoza, Miguel Perez, Apolo the Faces of Destiny and so forth with footage we have seen already.

Overall thoughts: This was just a hype show for the Jucio Final event since it was taking place on the same day. There weren't any new matches but we did get some new promos. You don't really need to see this one.
